Creating Files Using Select and Paste

You can make a new text file straight from selected text. Select text in any application, then choose "Paste as File" from the Actions menu of an Icon View window. A new text file icon appears holding the selected text, ready to name.

This is a quick way to keep a snippet, a command, or a note without opening an editor first.
