Renaming Files and Directories

Click once on an icon's name to select it, then click the name a second time to open it for editing. Type the new name and press Enter. Press Esc to cancel and keep the old name.

A name may not contain a slash, and two icons in the same directory may not share a name. If you try, the File Manager keeps the old name and tells you why on the status line.

To rename several icons at once, select them and choose "Rename" from the Selected menu.
