Launching Applications

Pick a menu entry that names a program and the Toolchest runs it. A short launch effect can play on the button to confirm the click, and optional audio feedback can sound as well; both are settings in the Toolchest preferences. If a program cannot be found, its entry is greyed out before you ever click it, so launches from the Toolchest either work or are plainly disabled.

What the Toolchest Does Not Do

The Toolchest only launches things; it is not a drop target for files. To open a file, use the File Manager or drop the file onto an application icon.

See Shape, Orientation, and Title to change how the bar looks.
