The Ledger

Default:

~/.cyanotype/run/cymount.state

Override for tests:

CYMOUNT_STATE=/path/to/file

This file is the desktop-wide list of removable volumes. CyDrive, cyfiler desktop presence, and cymount list all read it. Only cymount writes it (under a lock).

Daemon pidfile:

~/.cyanotype/run/cymount.pid

Mount Points

/media                      shared root
/media/$USER                per-user parent
/media/$USER/<label>        one volume

Labels are sanitized. Collisions get -2, -3, and so on. Tests may set CYMOUNT_MOUNT_ROOT instead of /media/$USER.

Helper

cymount-helper is a small program used only for privileged mount, umount, and mkdir-p-media. Set CYMOUNT_HELPER to force its path. Ordinary users never run the helper by hand.
