CyDrive

CyDrive is the small Motif media manager. Window title "CyDrive". It lists volumes from the cymount ledger and offers Open, Mount, Eject, Properties, and Refresh.

It is not a file manager and not a partitioner. Open hands the mount path to cyfiler.

Opening CyDrive

• Session / desktop menus that launch cydrive

CyDrive is a session singleton (one window).

The List

Rows come from the ledger only. Background scans stay quiet: the list repaints when media appears, disappears, or changes state, not on every timer tick. Empty list means no removable volumes in the ledger (daemon stopped, nothing plugged, or privilege off so nothing automounted).

The status line shows whether the cymount daemon is running and simple volume counts.

Open Mount Eject

Open         cyfiler on the mount path (mounts first if needed)
Mount        ask cymount to mount the selected device
Eject        cymount eject for that volume
Properties   id, kind, state, device, filesystem, path, errors
Refresh      silent rescan; list updates only if media changed
Close        leave the window
