Documentation / Contents - Font Scheme
A font scheme carries no colour and a colour scheme carries no font. They are served on the same channel by the same daemon, and they are deliberately independent: applying a font scheme never disturbs the colour scheme, never advances the colour serial, and the reverse holds too. Any .cyfont mixes with any .cyscheme.
Some colour schemes that shipped before the split still carry font pins inside them. Those are legacy. Where both exist, the font scheme wins, and your own X resources win over both.
Colour schemes have their own book:

Point sizes turn into pixels through the display's resolution, so DPI is the setting that changes every face at once. It belongs to monitor settings, not here. See Point Size, DPI, and Why Layout Holds.
The monitor panel is specified and not yet built. When it ships it is cymonitor-prefs, titled "Monitor Settings", with DPI on its own page.
The daemon that serves both scheme kinds is cyschemed. It is headless; it has no window. It publishes the active schemes on the display and merges the legacy resource block for applications that read their resources once at startup. The Schemes book covers it.
