Documentation / CySetup Desktop Setup
The window shows a checklist on the left and a detail pane on the right. Category headers (Session, Desktop, and others) group the rows. Each check is a multi-state toggle: colour and the label both show pass, warn, fail, or ignored. Colour is never the only cue.
Help opens this book.
Click a check row to select it. The detail pane names what was probed, what failed, and which buttons (if any) can fix it. Arrow keys move selection the same way.
Ignore marks a check so later runs skip it. That state is stored in cysetup.conf under the check's section. Clear Ignore to probe again.
When a check offers a safe fix, a button in the detail area runs it (for example "Use Shipped Default" or "Create Media Dirs"). After a fix, the panel re-probes that row and shows what the probe found -- not a canned success message.
Some rows only open another panel (Choose Another..., Open CyMix...) and leave the actual change to you. External installers (Install Defaults...) spawn cyanotype.inst when that tool is on PATH.
Safe fixes are the ones cysetup will apply itself. Anything marked external or "none" needs you, another panel, or an installer.
