Overview of CyLogout

CyLogout is a DEPRECATED shim. The interactive end-session panel and the scripted logout path both live in CySplash now. This binary remains so old scripts and muscle memory keep working; it only execs cysplash with the matching flags.

Open this book from Help Books as "CyLogout", or:

cyhelp --book CyLogout --topic overview

The Applications page lists it as: End the session.

Prefer the CySplash book for day-to-day behaviour, greying rules, and session chords.

What It Does

Bare cylogout (no flags) forwards to:

cysplash --end-session-panel

That is the centered Logout / Shutdown / Reboot panel. Other flags map one-to-one onto CySplash:

Ending the session still belongs to CyWM: it leaves its event loop when it sees _CY_SESSION_LOGOUT, and startcyanotype.sh ends because it waits on cywm.
