Overview of CyCalc

CyCalc is the desktop calculator for Blueprint. Three faces share one window size: Basic (algebraic), Finance (RPN), and Science (RPN with trigonometric keys).

Open this book from Help Books as "CyCalc", or:

cyhelp --book CyCalc --topic overview

The Applications page lists it as: Calculator.

What It Does

CyCalc opens at a fixed size; the keys do not reflow and the window is not meant to be maximized. Basic is an algebraic landscape keypad and is the default face. Finance and Science use an HP-style RPN stack with no HP model branding. Science is the face with the trigonometric keys.

Keyboard entry works alongside mouse clicks on the key mat. Preferences cover colour mode and the FIX digit count; angle mode and FIX digits are preferences, not extra faces. Help opens this shared viewer.

The same RPN engine that drives Finance and Science is available headless for scripts and golden-vector checks (--eval, --batch).

Prefs live in ~/.cyanotype/cycalc.conf (or $CYCALC_CONF).
