Command Line

cycalc opens the calculator window, or runs the RPN engine headless for scripts and tests.

cycalc [options]

Open The Window

• --face=basic|finance|science -- open with that face (default basic)
• --prefs -- open the Preferences dialog at launch
• -h, --help / -V, --version -- usage or version, then exit
• --selftest -- headless engine checks (no display)
• --log SPEC / -v / -q -- logging (debug,stderr; info,syslog; quiet)

cycalc --face=science
cycalc --prefs

Headless RPN

Same engine as Finance and Science. Tokens are whitespace-separated; see --list-ops for names.

cycalc --eval '300 ENTER 14 %'
cycalc -e '90 SIN' -a deg -x 1
cycalc --eval '2 ENTER 3 Y^X' --stack

• -e, --eval=EXPR -- evaluate RPN tokens; print X (or full stack with -s)
• -a, --angle=deg|rad|grad -- angle mode for --eval (default deg)
• -x, --expect=NUM -- exit 1 if X is not within --eps of NUM
• -E, --eps=NUM -- compare epsilon (default 1e-9)
• -s, --stack -- print T/Z/Y/X after --eval
• -b, --batch=FILE -- run name|tokens|expect vectors from FILE
• -L, --list-ops -- list RPN token names and exit

Examples

cycalc --eval '300 ENTER 14 %'
cycalc --eval '45 AT' --angle=deg --expect=1 --eps=1e-9
cycalc --batch vectors.txt
cycalc --list-ops | head
