Documentation / Icosahedra
Icosahedra is a screen hack. Day to day you pick it in CySaver and leave the flags alone. You can also run it from a shell to try a mode on the desk before you arm the saver.
Customize > Screen Saver lists Icosahedra with Blank, Colored Smoke, and Xray Agent when those binaries are installed. Hack options on that panel (mode, bounce vs single, count, rotate, rate) are written into ~/.cyanotype/cysaver.conf and passed to the binary when the daemon arms or when you press Test Full Screen.
Two launch shapes:
You do not type those window flags yourself when CySaver owns the child.
icosahedra icosahedra -mode mesh -count 3 icosahedra -pipes -single
Default is an ordinary framed window (same as -window). Use this to compare looks without arming the saver. -geometry WxH sizes the window; -fps sets the frame rate.
icosahedra -fullscreen icosahedra -cycle -fullscreen
Same grab-and-exit behaviour as the saver path. Useful for a quick check that GLX and the visual ladder are healthy on a box.
icosahedra -window-id 0xWIN -no-input-exit
-window-id / -parent embed into an existing X window. Pair with -no-input-exit whenever a parent (CySaver preview, a prefs pane, or a daemon wrapper) must keep the hack alive through input. Without -no-input-exit, fullscreen still exits on input; a plain window usually ignores that path.
Default scene is multi-body bounce with count 20. -single is one body that tumbles and drifts. Fewer bodies scale up (~1.5x at three versus twenty).
