Overview of Icosahedra

Icosahedra is Blueprint's OpenGL icosahedron screen hack, in the tradition of SGI's Octahedra. It draws with X11, GLX, and fixed-function OpenGL. The binary is built only when configure finds GLX.

What It Does

• Fills a window (or the whole screen) with bouncing or drifting icosahedra
• Offers solid, wire, mesh, blur, mixed, cycle, and pipes looks
• Runs under CySaver after idle, or alone as a desk window / embed
• Scales body size when you ask for fewer bodies (smaller packs look larger)

CySaver's Screen Saver panel picks the hack, idle minutes, and lock. Colored Smoke and Xray Agent are the companion hacks; each has its own help book.

What It Is Not

• Not the CySaver preferences panel (that is Customize > Screen Saver)
• Not a Motif desk utility you leave open all day; fullscreen mode grabs input and exits on key or pointer so the lock path can run
• Not available on hosts without GLX
