Using the Help Viewer

The viewer has two panes. The Contents pane on the left lists every topic in the current book. The document pane on the right shows the topic you selected. The divider between them can be dragged.

The bottom bar

The status line reports what the viewer is doing and how many entries a search matched. The buttons to its right are Stop, Reload, Back, Forward and Close, in that order.

The viewer is one program per session. Asking for help from several applications reuses the same window rather than opening a pile of them.
