Keys and Shortcuts

From Anywhere in the Desktop

Ctrl+Alt+K Show or hide the on-screen keyboard

That is the stock binding for the action "On-screen keyboard", technical id session.osk. It belongs to the window manager, not to cyosk, and you can move it to any chord you like in the Menu & Shortcuts editor. See the MenuShortcuts book, reachable from Help Books in the Contents pane .

On the Keyboard Itself

Button 1 on a key Type that key
Button 1 on Shift Latch the modifier for the next key
Button 3 on the face Open the face menu
Button 1 on Sml Full board or compact board
Drag the empty space Move the board
Drag a corner Resize the board
Wheel over the words Scroll the suggestion chips

The FindIt Gesture

Wheel up, down, up, down Show it, send it to its spot

One notch each way. Ordinary scrolling is untouched; only that sequence counts. See Bringing Up the Keyboard.

The Power Keys

< > Previous desk, next desk
max min Maximize, minimize the target window
Tile Next tiling mode

These are window-manager requests rather than keystrokes, and they are off until you turn them on. See The Power Keys.

Keys That Do Nothing Here

The on-screen keyboard refuses the keyboard focus, so no key you press on your physical keyboard is aimed at it. In particular, "q" and Escape do not close it. Use the show key, or Quit on The Face Menu.
