These are the mouse settings: acceleration and threshold, button mapping for handedness, the multi-click time, the pointer trail, and the cursor. The extended face adds the trail, the cursor, and the fine sliders. A shorter face matches the SGI panel.

CyMoused is the small daemon that keeps the trail and a custom cursor in place after you apply them. The settings are a configuration file plus a property on the root window. Applying them does not restart the session.
